Abandoned Outpost (2008):

Summary: Sci-fi music video. Eerie synth/percussion music is accompanied by a first person viewpoint walkthru of a dark (and somewhat abstract) space station.

Comments: The frames for the animation were generated with POVRay. The music and sound effects were generated with the Dream Station synth (with a little help from an odd sound I recorded while banging on a metal grill).

Usually I create the visual portion first with this type of video and then add the music and/or sound effects. In this case, however, I had recorded the "Abandoned Outpost" song back in May and thought at the time that it would make a good soundtrack for a video, so I added the visual portion last. The song fit the video quite well with very minimal adjustment. I chopped it down a little to fit the length, added a couple of sound effects where I felt they would be appropriate, and made a few other minor changes .
