Alien Artifact Rising (2007):

Run length: 1 minute, 14 seconds

Summary: On a far distant planet a huge machine rises, accompanied by a synth/percussion sound track. The visual elements were rendered in POVRay.

Comments: I sketched out the basic idea for the animation while sitting in the waiting room of a dentist's office. I fine-tuned a lot of little things with it, but the basic idea remained unchanged. So time in the waiting room doesn't have to be a total waste :)
