S3 vs the Mad Scientist's Robot (2008):

Summary: When "The Mad Scientist" hacks the city teleportation grid and transports in his monstrous battle droid, the regular robot defense force is insufficient to deal with the threat, so it's up to the S3-4211g advanced prototype (informally referred to as the. "Spinning Silver Sphere" to confront the intruder in a high tech battle.

This is a sequel to the Spinning Silver Sphere video I made in 2007. As in the case of the original, S3 vs MSR is a music video/animation whose frames I generated using POVRay. The new video, however, has a lot more action (and even a bit of a plot, which the first one really didn't). I wrote a new sound track, incorporating many of the themes present in the first video but adding a lot of new material as well (to the extent that one can do that in a 2 and a half minute video). I hope to have stand alone ogg and wma format versions of the sound track available for free download on GoodChimes.com soon.

The Cast:

	S3-4211g Advanced Urban Defense Prototype Mission: advanced urban defense Capabilities: Advanced artificial intelligence. Limited levitation capacity. Highly maneuverable. An efficient internal power source enables the unit to operate continuously for long periods of time. Defensive Weaponry: Special materials and/or force field shielding provide the unit with an extremely effective defense.. Exact details are classified. Primary Offensive Weaponry: Powerful laser beam Other Offensive Weaponry: Classified History: Developed by a special branch of the Defense Department, the prototype has recently been assigned to help city defense forces with advanced security threats.
	Mad Scientist's Robot Mission: Carry out the orders of Dr. Hobart S. KrankenKopf. Defensive Weaponry: Powerful armor of unknown composition makes the unit highly resistant to most attacks. Primary Offensive Weaponry: Powerful laser beams from the head of the robot can blast through all but the strongest defenses. The robot is also able to launch its spherical "hands" which then morph into small battle saucers (which are able to fire short and intense laser bursts themselves). Other Weaponry and capabilities: Unknown.
	Dr. Hobart Sildarian KrankenKopf, a.k.a. "The Mad Scientist" Although once a respected scientist in the field of robotics, the doctor ran afoul of the authorities when it was discovered that he had stolen plans and technology from the military (which was employing him as a consultant at the time) and was planning to build an army of powerful robots for his own ends. He was briefly arrested, but managed to escape and has gone into hiding.
	Standard Civil Defense Robots Mission: Protect the city. Defensive Weaponry: Light armor provides limited protection against some forms of attack. Primary Offensive Weaponry: The units are armed with moderate strength laser beams. By using their advanced communications and targeting capabilities, a group of the robots can concentrate their fire at a single point to do more damage to a target than would otherwise be possible. Other Weaponry: None Other Capabities: Able to rely audio and visual information from the locations in which they are present.
